Destiny

Do you believe in fate?  If fate exists how much responsibility must we accept for our lives?  Are we responsible for everything that occurs to us -- even choosing our own birth, as some suggest -- or do we bear little or no responsibility for a cosmically, theologically or genetically preordained destiny?  How are we to find the answers?
If fate and destiny is real than what about free will?  Is my life something I created or was this the life I am destined to live? We try and analyze our lives to see what we can fix, but is there anything to fix or is this our destiny, our set path? This has boggled my mind from childhood. I look back at my life from birth to present day and try and make sense on some of the things I did.  I would get into trouble all the time.  It seemed like I was always grounded.  I do believe in fate and destiny but I also believe in free will.  You create your path to a point.  I was supposed to live that type of life in order to reach my destiny, my cause.  I don't know if this is true for everyone but this is true for me.  Destiny has control of whats around me but in turn it is my choice on the path I take to get there.
For all those who have big dreams, they are in your mind for a reason. Don't let your fear and influence get in the way of your destiny.  Take action for those thoughts you are having, is destiny calling.  You will never see your true destiny if you do not listen to yourself and do what works for you.

I would love to hear your thoughts on destiny and free will so please comment below!

Cory Monteith is found Dead

The Glee actor Cory Monteith was found dead in Vancouver, Canada.

He was found in his hotel room by the hotel staff. The cause of death is not immediately apparent. There was no sign of foul play. They think he died of an overdose because he was fighting addiction. He had voluntarily admitted himself to a rehabilitation center and he had finished the program in April. It is thought that he had relapsed causing his death. Such a shame to be so loved and not love yourself.

Rest in Peace Cory you will be missed.

Interactive Videos

Interactive Videos! Very cool that I can choose an outcome. My son Eric Novelo and I have created a video that lets you choose what happens in the end. You click on either red box letting you decide whether I live or die. This is a fun interactive comedy skit on super hero's and villains. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Domestic Violence

Domestic Violence is an issue that haunts our lives day to day, hour to hour.  An issue that may involve your mom, your sisters, or your friends. Domestic Violence is so close to our lives that it happens to one in every four women.  Interestingly enough women are not the only victims of domestic violence, it has been found that more than 40% of domestic violence victims are male.  Men that are assaulted by their partners are often ignored by police, see their attackers go free and have fewer resources and refuges to flee to than women.  Every year more than 3 million children witness domestic violence in their homes.  Most children who witness domestic violence manifest some symptoms associated with PSTD and they are at greater risk to become violent themselves.  Erica Villalobos CEO and founder of Creative1 Productions has created an awareness video on domestic violence.  We hope that is awareness video will give you the strength to stand up for yourself or a loved one.

We must break this cycle of violence and savagery.  We must stand up and fight for those who cannot stand up and fight for themselves, we must find justice for those in need.  If you or someone you know is a victim of domestic violence please seek help. Contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1(800)799-SAFE(7233). Please love yourself and those around you because humanity is all we have.

Inspired

This walk through life has many twists and turns some of these unexpected and some brought on, but are some of us still stuck?  Or are some of us left with very little confidence to succeed?  Is it emotions hidden or once again is it our fears?  I know that what ever it may be, we must all overcome our demons, we must be who we feel we are meant to be inside.  Tonight I was inspired by Uriel, the owner of Taco and Salsa catering.  His story is one for the books.  He is a person that set out for a degree in a field of study that he thought the was meant for, and something bigger than life, bigger than himself struck him and left him feeling like he was meant for a different path.  In turn he gathered what little funds he had and bought a food truck.  Now he is doing what he loves, he took control of his life, pushed fear aside, gathered his confidence and now put his best foot forward. I thank you Uriel for one of the best tacos and burritos I have had and anyone that is interested in tasting Food from Tacos and Salsas catering they are located on the corner of Woodman and Saticoy in Panorama City, CA.

Monday through Wednesday 4-10pm and
Thursday from 4-12pm with a BBQ special.

Inspiration is everywhere, all we have to do open our minds, our thoughts and our eyes to the things that matter most to us. Please love yourself and those around you because humanity is all we have.

Dirty Joke

I was feeling funny today and thought you might like to hear a joke. I have a dirty joke that I have been telling for years. Here it goes...

This story starts off with a guy so down on his luck that he feels like getting so wasted, so far gone that his problems are just a blur and soon forgotten. So he goes to the local bar and tells the bartender that his wife left him for another man and she took the kids and the dog. Then he explains that the fire that happened the other day burned up his house and is now living in a crappy motel. So he then asks the bartender for the strongest drink he has. The bartender then says that he has a drink that is called "The Mind Eraser" and explains that he can only have one because of their potency. The guy slams his money on the bar and tells the bartender to bring it on. He quickly drinks his drink and goes outside for a smoke. The guy comes back in the bar with tears in his eyes. He tells the bartender that he doesn't think the drink was strong enough. He then tries to order another one. The bartender explains once again how he can only sell one per customer. But the guy keeps at him begging him for another, asking him to consider his situation. The bartender than gives in and tells the guy that the only way he is going to sell him another one is if he signs a waiver saying the bar is not responsible for what happens when he leaves. The guy agrees and signs the waiver. The bartender hands the guy the drink. The guy downs it and now is very unstable. He is walking five feet one way and ten feet the other trying to get out the bar door. The guy then leaves the bar and comes back the next day. The guy explains to the bartender that he had the worst night of his life, blowing chunks all night. The bartender then says to the guy that he warned him the night before. The guy cries out "You Don't Understand I Had The Worst Night Of My Life, I Was Blowing Chunks All Night" The bartender shrugs his shoulders and reminds him of the waiver that he had signed before purchasing the second drink. The guy then gets furious and yells out "YOU DON"T UNDERSTAND CHUNKS IS MY DOG".

Yoda Wisdom

"Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering."

"The dark side clouds everything.  Impossible to see the future is."

Today I thought you might like some of the wisdom from Yoda. Yes, Yoda from Star Wars! I know it's a little nerdy but as a kid he had the best quotes. As an adult I am understanding what George Lucas was really trying to say.  We must face our fears in order for us to face our destiny.  Facing our fears is one of the hardest things to do, but as much as it can be rewarding, it can also take over our entire being; and instead of confronting our fears, we become consumed by them.  Taking us further away from our destiny.  No matter how deeply enveloped by our fears we are, no matter how much time we have lived with our sins we can always face those fears and change for the better.  In order for a new world there must be a new you.  Hope you enjoyed Yoda's wisdom as well as my own, I would love to hear your interpretations to Yoda's quotes for everyday life.  Please comment below.  Love yourself and those around you, for humanity is all we have.
